After shipping some of the first batch of the Clear XS II VIO goggles, we discovered that the plastic on the cosmetic trim piece did not cure properly and could crack upon removal. We apologize for the frustration and concern this has caused. Virtue will be reaching out individually to each customer who purchased a Clear VIO XS II to ensure we resolve this warranty issue.

Not all Clear XS II goggles are equally affected; however, to ensure no Clear XS II VIOs remain on the market, we are disposing of existing Clear VIO XS II goggles and requesting customers ship their Clear VIO XS II goggles back to Virtue as soon as possible at Virtue’s expense.

  • For retail customers who ordered direct from Virtue there are two options:

    1. Free return shipping, and a credit for the purchase price paid towards any instock goggle (or other products), plus a $25 gift card to be used on an additional future order. The gift card will be emailed after the return is processed.
    2. Free return shipping, and customers will be shipped a new Clear XS II VIO with improved plastic (ETA October), and a $25 gift card. The gift card will be emailed after the return is processed.

    For retail customers who ordered from a Virtue dealer and Virtue dealers:

    1. Free return shipping to Virtue, and customers will be shipped a new Clear XS II VIO with improved plastic (ETA October), and a $25 gift card. The gift card will be emailed after the return is processed.

    In all cases, both the retail customer and dealer are authorized to remove and keep the following parts at no charge:

    • Clear Thermal Lens
    • VIO Earpads and Strap
    • Goggle Foam
    • Goggle Bag

    The following products MUST be returned to Virtue as part of the warranty replacement:

    • Clear VIO Frame
    • Clear Hinge Locks
    • Clear XS II Facemask
